JSA has started its annual cut and clear of wildflower meadows around the West of London and Home Counties. These areas totalling approx 270Ha extend from the North West to South West corner of Greater London through to various sites throughout Surrey and the Home Counties. Works are being carried out between the rain (and Olympics), taking care to avoid ground compaction utilising a variety of low ground pressure machinery from our armoury to cut/ clear the Wild Flower Meadow Land. The areas were cut with mower conditioners to allow the seed to drop out fo regeneration prior to baling and removal for either cattle feed or green waste, thereby working toward our sustainability targets.
