J S Agriculture Ltd was founded in 1982 by John Straka. The business began as a small grounds maintenance service for private clients. Within a few years, the company secured its first major commercial contract with British Gas Transco. This marked the start of steady growth into larger projects.
By 1992, demand had increased. John Straka chose to focus on large-scale work for well-known companies. Investment in modern machinery, equipment and staff training helped expand the company’s capabilities. This allowed JSA to take on more complex projects and continue growing into the twenty-first century.
JSA developed along two main service areas:

In 2012, John’s stepson joined the company as an apprentice. Over time, he progressed through the business and now works as Projects and Contracts Manager. He works closely with John to manage operations and support the future of the company.
